Houghwood Golf Club provided the perfect
setting for the annual staff Beesley & Fildes Claret Cup golf day on Sunday
14th September 2014. The day commenced
with breakfast before the five teams teed off for a great morning of golf. The event was sponsored by Akzo Nobel (ICI)
and drinks and prize giving followed the golf in the clubhouse.
The individual winner for the stableford
competition was awarded to Karl Devereaux and his team won the team prize along
with Phil Thomas, Mark Devereaux and Mark McInerney. Nearest the pin was awarded to Chris Hartley
and longest drive to Karl Devereaux who on winning said; ‘I now know how the mountain goats feel.’
The McGonagall prize was presented to
Dean Moss with 10 points.
